VOHB is a double-coil humbucker that is faithfully crafted following the original manufacturing methods of vintage pickups. Among the countless variations of P.A.F. tones, we have focused on the representative years of ’57, ’58, ’59, and ’60, compiling the subtle specification changes over time on top of the fundamental P.A.F. tone. For the P.A.F. successors with patent numbers, we have focused on the period when the specifications were stable and labeled it as ’64.
Standard Specifications:
• Coil Wire: AWG42 plain enamel
• Bobbin: Butyrate, available in black/black, zebra, or cream/cream
• Magnet: Alnico 2, 3, 4, 5
• Base Plate: German silver (nickel silver)
• Lead Wire: Push-back, 2-strand braided shield
• Potting: None
• Cover: Open, without a cover by default. However, a version with a German silver (nickel silver) cover is also available.
